Mr Allkins, 64, joined Volex as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Company’s Audit Committee on 16 October 2013, having had a wide range of Non-executive Director and public company experience. He currently sits on the Boards and is Chairman of the Audit Committee of Punch Taverns plc, Renold plc and Fairpoint Group plc. Previously Mr Allkins was Group Finance Director of MyTravel plc and Chief Financial Officer of Equant NV.
