– USA, IL – Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) today announced the appointment of Sumit Roy to its Board as an independent Director, effective October 1, 2022, expanding the board to 12 members, of whom 11 are independent and 50% of whom identify as diverse by gender or ethnicity.
Mr. Roy has also joined the Investment Committee.

Sumit Roy is a highly accomplished REIT executive as President and CEO of Realty Income Corporation – a real estate investment trust with a diversified portfolio of over 11,400 freestanding commercial properties across the United States, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, and Spain –. At Realty Income, he was appointed CEO in 2018 after being named President of the company in 2015. He previously served as Realty Income’s COO from 2014 to 2018, CIO from 2013 to 2014, and Chairman of the Investment Committee. Before Realty Income, Mr. Roy was an Executive Director at UBS Investment Bank, responsible for more than $57 billion in real estate capital markets and advisory transactions.

The Company also announced that Robert D.
