Urban Logistics REIT announces Lynda Heywood to join its Board as Independent Director

– UK, London –  Urban Logistics REIT (LON: SHED), the last mile logistics-focused REIT, today announced the appointment of Lynda Heywood to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 1 May 2023.

Lynda Heywood will also join the Audit Committee, Management Engagement Committee, and Nomination Committee.

About Lynda Heywood

Lynda Heywood is a finance leader and treasurer who brings a wealth of experience in guiding FTSE 100 companies from her 20-year tenure at Kingfisher, and six years at Tesco, holding group treasurer roles at both organizations.

In her role in the finance leadership team at Tesco, she is responsible for capital structure, liquidity, and financial risk management, and has been instrumental in delivering the group’s property JV acquisitions. Lynda also sits on the Investment and Risk Committee of the Tesco Pension Scheme, which holds a significant real estate portfolio.

Outside of her role at Tesco Lynda is also a member of the Money Markets Committee of the Bank of England. She qualified as a chartered accountant with BDO Stoy Hayward is a fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and holds a BA in accountancy from the London Metropolitan University.
