Tritax Big Box REIT welcomes Alastair Hughes to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, Haywards Heath – Tritax Big Box REIT plc (LON:BBOX) announces that having served as a Non-Executive Director of the Company since the IPO in December 2013, Mark Shaw is to retire from the Board with effect from 1 February 2019. Mark will remain as Chairman and Partner of the Tritax Group, the Company’s Manager.

The Board today also announced the appointment of Alastair Hughes as a Non-Executive Director. Alastair will take up the post on 1 February 2019 and will join the Audit, Nomination and Management Engagement Committees.

About Alastair Hughes

Alastair is a Chartered Surveyor and has over 25 years of experience in the UK and international real estate markets. He is a former director and Global Executive Board member of Jones Lang LaSalle Inc., having previously served as managing director of JLL in the UK, before becoming CEO for Europe, Middle East and Africa and then most recently CEO for the Asia Pacific region. He retired from JLL at the end of 2016.

Alastair is currently a non-executive director of The British Land Company PLC and of Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust Ltd.
