Trinity Industries welcomes addition of Billy Ainsworth to its Board of Directors

– USA, TX –  Trinity Industries, Inc. (NYSE: TRN) today announced the addition of Billy Ainsworth to its Board of Directors, effective immediately, bringing the Board from nine to ten members.

Mr. Ainsworth will serve as a member of the Finance and Risk Committee and Corporate Governance and Directors Nominating Committee.

About Billy Ainsworth

From 2019 until his retirement in 2020, Billy Ainsworth served as Group President of the Energy & Transportation segment for Caterpillar, Inc., a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives. From 2017 until he was appointed Group President in 2019, Mr. Ainsworth was SVP and Strategic Advisor to Caterpillar’s executive committee and was responsible for Caterpillar’s Rail Division. From 1993 until 2019, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Progress Rail Services, an integrated and diversified supplier of railroad and transit products and services as well as railcar leasing. Progress Rail Services was acquired by Caterpillar in 2006 and Mr. Ainsworth was appointed a VP of Caterpillar at that time.

Mr. Ainsworth received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Auburn University.
