Syngenta Group appoints Jian Jiao to its Board of Directors

– CHINA, Shanghai / SWITZERLAND, Basel –  Syngenta Group today announced the election of Jiao Jian to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.

About Jian Jiao

Mr. Jiao currently serves as President of Sinochem Holdings, the parent company of Syngenta Group. Mr. Jiao formerly served as VP of China Minmetals Corporation, Chairman of Minmetals Resources Company, and Director and President of China Minmetals Corporation Limited. Before that, he held a series of executive positions at China Minmetals, extending back to 2008. He possesses considerable expertise in the field of international business management.

A graduate of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada, he earned his master’s in business administration from the institution and holds a bachelor’s degree in international economics from Nankai University in Tianjin, China.
