About Dr. Laura L. Forese
Dr. Laura Forese joins the Surgery Partners Board with over 40 years of healthcare experience. Most recently, she served as EVP and COO for New York-Presbyterian, leading one of the nation’s largest academic healthcare systems, encompassing 10 hospital campuses, 200 clinics, and over 45,000 employees. Under her leadership, New York-Presbyterian Medical Groups expanded the organization’s regional presence while standardizing financial, operational, and clinical practices. Dr. Laura Forese is an orthopedic surgeon and has served on multiple boards, including the Shubert Organization, Nereid Therapeutics, and Veuu Inc.
She holds a medical degree and a master’s in health services management from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Princeton University, where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
