Sports Stars Media appoints Lyndon Chapman as Non-Executive Chairman, and Miguel Mascarenhas as Non-Executive Director

– UK / PORTUGAL – Sports Stars Media plc, the Portuguese based sports animation and media company, announces that Lyndon Chapman and Miguel Mascarenhas have joined the board with immediate effect as Non-Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Director respectively. In addition Carlos Amaro, previously Non-Executive Chairman, will assume the role of Joint Chief Executive Officer alongside Ruben Dias.

Mr Chapman, aged 63, has considerable experience with small cap publically listed companies. During that time he has held a number of senior positions including executive and non-executive roles. Most recently he spent 9 years up to 2012 with VSA Capital plc where at different times he held the role of CEO, Chairman and Non-Executive Chairman. Latterly he has focused on the corporate finance aspects of IPO’s, fund raisings and acquisitions.

Mr Mascarenhas, aged 54, has over thirty years of business experience across a number of different sectors having been involved in retail, real estate and construction companies, as well as founding a number of businesses such as MVVD, a promotional gifting group.
