SentinelOne adds Aaron Hughes to its Board of Directors

– USA, CA –  SentinelOne, the autonomous cybersecurity platform company, today announced the appointment of Aaron Hughes to its board of directors.

As a SentinelOne board member, Aaron Hughes will share his diverse experience to enhance the Singularity XDR Platform and collaborate with executive leadership on public sector defense to further market traction in the space. In addition, Aaron Hughes will continue his longstanding commitment to STEM education and diversity in the workforce and will partner with leadership to advance cultural maturity and grow the representation of talented technologists from under-represented groups.

“Aaron’s experience as a cybersecurity executive across financial and retail industries, coupled with his intimate knowledge of the public sector, will be critical assets.” said Co-founder and CEO, Tomer Weingarten.

He added: “The SolarWinds attack campaign demonstrated the public and private sector are more intertwined than ever before. When the consequences of a cyber attack have the potential to impact national security, it’s hard to overstate the importance of ensuring businesses and federal agencies have the necessary technology to prevent and remediate these attacks.”

About Aaron Hughes

Aaron Hughes brings over 25 years of experience leading technology and information security programs in the public and private sectors. Hughes currently serves as Group VP and CISO for Albertsons Companies, where he’s responsible for securing the infrastructure, digital assets, and payments for more than 2,200 retail locations across the U.S. Previously, Hughes was VP for Information Security and Deputy CISO at Capital One. “Cybersecurity has evolved significantly throughout my career – from the increasing interconnectedness of network systems to the economy’s reliance on the stability of the internet and the necessity of strong connections between public and private sectors,” said Aaron Hughes. “It’s clear that SentinelOne’s differentiated technology is purpose-built for allowing large organizations and federal agencies to autonomously defend themselves against today’s sophisticated attacks, thus contributing to a more secure world. I look forward to bringing my experience as a cybersecurity leader to SentinelOne to not only enhance the company’s offerings but to further its culture and diversity programs as well.”
