Sealand Capital Galaxy appoints Mark Battles to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– CAYMAN ISLANDS, George Town – Sealand Capital Galaxy Limited (LON:SCGL) today announce d the appointment of Mark Bernard Battles as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr Battles has extensive experience working with UK listed companies in both executive and non-executive roles. He has particular experience working with turnaround situations in high growth sectors such as digital marketing and media, telecoms and financial services. He is the former CFO of London’s largest digital agency in the 90s, ‘Pres.co’ from 1997 to 1999 which was successfully sold for £16 million. Other previous public listed companies he has worked with over the last 10 years include: Nexus Management plc, Concha plc and Avisen plc.

Mr Battles has also worked extensively with private companies offering corporate finance, consultancy and fund raising advice across a broad range of sectors. He is has a strong network of contacts among the professional advisory and investment communities and has been involved with a number of IPOs, trade exits and capital raising rounds, which have a combined market value of approximately £400 million over the last 15 years.

As well as being an experienced board director and advisor, Mr Battles is a successful investor in his own right, having backed companies in the media, marketing, telecoms, technology, renewables and property sectors. He is also the founder of the League of Angels (“the League”), an investment society established to provide a platform and community for angel investors; and to help promote British businesses from across the UK with a strong regional focus. The League, under Mr Battles stewardship, has grown into a thriving Investor Society and partners with the Monaco Venture Capital Foundation.

Private companies he has been involved with include: Dalhousie Coffee Company, Supported Business Limited, Intelligent Payment Solutions Limited, Wireless Theatre Limited and Balgownie Ventures Ltd.
