– UK, Sunderland – ScS Group PLC (LON: SCS), one of the UK’s largest retailers of upholstered furniture and floorings, today announced the appointment of Andy Kemp to its Board as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 February 2023.
“I will be delighted to welcome Andy to the board of ScS and am confident that Andy will work well with the existing team, whilst providing appropriate valuable insight and challenge. I anticipate that Andy will strengthen and complement our existing board and will be a step towards building a board for the future,” said Board Chairman, Alan Smith.
Andy Kemp will also join the Audit Committee, the Remuneration Committee, and the Nomination Committee, and it is intended that Andy will succeed Ron McMillan as Chairman of the Audit Committee in late 2023.

Andy Kemp is a Non-Executive Director of The Berkeley Group Holdings plc, where he is a member of the Audit Committee and the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. Andy Kemp was the former Chairman of PwC’s Non-Executive Director advisory program and previously sat on PwC’s Audit and Risk Assurance executive board.
