Scottish Investment Trust appoints James Will as the new Non-Executive Chairman

– UK, Edinburgh – The Scottish Investment Trust PLC (SIT) is pleased to announce that James Will has been appointed non-executive chairman of the company with effect from SIT’s AGM on Friday 29 January 2016. He was appointed as a non-executive director to SIT’s board in May 2013.

James Will is a former chairman of law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP where he was a senior corporate partner, heading its financial sector practice. He has extensive experience of working with companies in a wide range of industry sectors including financial services, technology, energy and life sciences. He is currently a non-executive director of Herald Investment Trust PLC and is a former council member of CBI Scotland.

With the appointment of his successor as chairman, Douglas McDougall retired from the Board at the conclusion of SIT’s AGM.
