Savannah Resources welcomes Diogo da Silveira to its Board as Independent Director

– UK, London –  Savannah Resources plc (LON: SAV | FWB: SAV), the European lithium development company, today announced the appointment of Diogo da Silveira to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 10 November 2022.

Diogo da Silveira will also join the Remuneration and Audit and Risk Committees.

This appointment reinforces our role in Portugal’s vital contribution to the global transition to renewable energy.” said Board Chairman, Matthew King.

About Diogo da Silveira

Mr. Diogo da Silveira, a former McKinsey Partner, is a seasoned CEO and NED in multiple sectors across Europe. He also has considerable experience in funds management, both Private Equity and Venture Capital. Recently Diogo started several entrepreneurial initiatives in last-mile logistics, real estate, and sports. He is the Chairman of Floene Energias, the leading Gas DSO in Portugal. Over the last 20 years, Diogo has been the CEO of several listed and private companies, namely The Navigator Company, Açoreana Seguros, ONI telecom, Isoroy, Novis as well as Executive Director at Sonae Indústria, Sonaecom, ModeloContinente, Sonae Investimentos and BanifBank. He has been a European NED at Glunz, Tafisa, Optimus, BanifBank, WeDo and Bizdirect. Diogo was a management member of several Portuguese industrial associations such as CIP, APS, Celpa, Cotec, and BCSD as well as of European, Brussels-based, CEPI, and Worldwide, Geneva-based, WBCSD. He also serves the French Embassy in Portugal as Conseiller du Commerce Exterieur.

Diogo is an Ingénieur from Ecole Centrale de Lille, a research Scholar from Berkeley, and holds an MBA & IDP from INSEAD.
