– UK, Slough – Reckitt Benckiser Group plc (LON: RB) today announced the appointment of Margherita Della Valle to its Board as a non-executive director, effective July 1st, 2020.
“I am delighted that Margherita has agreed to join the Board. She has extensive experience of financial markets and digital technologies. She is also deeply experienced in business in both developed and developing markets. Margherita will bring great insight to the Board and we welcome her appointment.” said Board Chairman, Chris Sinclair.
Margherita will also join the Audit Committee.
About Margherita Della Valle
Ms Della Valle is currently the CFO and an Executive Director of Vodafone Group Plc, a role she has held since 2018. She also runs Vodafone Shared Services, which she established in 2011 to optimise quality and efficiency across the Group’s customer, technology, finance and HR operations. It is now a digital centre of excellence for the Group.
Prior to her current role, Ms Della Valle was deputy CFO, between 2015 and 2018, having held a number of senior positions in Finance beforehand, including Vodafone’s Group Financial Controller and CFO of Vodafone’s European region.
Early in her career, Ms Della Valle joined Omnitel Pronto Italia – which became Vodafone Italy – in 1994 and held various consumer marketing positions in data analytics and customer base management before moving into Finance. From 2004 to 2007, Ms Della Valle was CFO of Vodafone Italy.
In addition to her responsibilities at Vodafone, Ms Della Valle was a non-executive director at Centrica plc from 2010 to 2019.
She holds a Master’s in Economics from Bocconi University in Italy.
