Reckitt Benckiser announces Jaspal Bindra and Sue Shim to Board as upcoming independent Non-Executive Directors

– UK – Reckitt Benckiser Group plc (RB) today announces the following appointments to the Board as independent non-executive directors, effective 1 July 2014

Jaspal Bindra

Mr Bindra, Indian, has been Group Executive Director to the Board of Standard Chartered PLC since January 2010. He is based in Hong Kong and is Chief Executive Officer, Asia.   In his early career he held positions at UBS Investment Banking and Bank of America.  He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and MBA. His broad financial background, coupled with his experience within, and knowledge of, the Asian markets will be of particular value to the RB Board.

Sue Shim

Ms Shim, South Korean, is currently EVPand has been Chief Marketing Officer at Samsung Electronics since 2010, having joined in 2006. Prior to Samsung, Ms Shim worked for 17 years at Procter & Gamble as a Global Marketing Director.  Ms Shim has impressive credentials within the FMCG and digital space, particularly within the Asian markets, which will be a very valuable addition to the Board. She holds a BA in English Literature and Language and is a class of 2015 MPA candidate at New York University.
