– UK, Maidenhead – Rank Group Plc (LON: RNK) announced the appointment of Christian Nothhaft to its Board as a non-executive director immediately.
“I am pleased to welcome Christian Nothhaft to the Rank board. Christian brings a wealth of international and strategic experience to the Board and his knowledge of digital transformation is welcomed,” said Board Chairman, Alex Thursby.
The company also announced that Chew Seong Aun will be retiring from the board with immediate effect.
About Christian Nothhaft
Christian Nothhaft has been an Executive Director and CEO of Guoco Group Limited since 15 April 2024.
He graduated from Munich University of Applied Science in Germany with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. He also holds a Human Resources / Payroll Management Degree from the German Association for Human Resource Management and has attended the Harvard University Young Presidents Organisation Program. Christian Nothhaft has extensive experience in business management and advisory, strategic planning, retail, consumer products, network rollouts, e-commerce, digital transformation, people management, ESG, and compliance.
Previously, he was CEO of Watsons Personal Care Stores, Chin, and the managing director of Watsons Wine and Fortress Hong Kong. Before that, he was the regional managing director of Movenpick (Asia Restaurants Group).
Christian Nothhaft serves as a non-executive director of Lam Soon (Hong Kong) Limited (a Hong Leong Group subsidiary listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited). He is also an independent non-executive director and a member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committees of DFI Retail Group Holdings Limited.
