Quarto Group appoints Polly Powell to its Board as CEO UK operations alongside Andrea Giunti Lombardo joining as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London –  Quarto Group Inc (LON: QRT) today announced the appointments of Polly Powell and Andrea Giunti Lombardo to its Board of Directors with immediate effect:

Polly Powell is appointed as CEO of the UK operations and Executive Director while Andrea Giunti Lombardo is appointed as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director.

Also today, Michael Mousley stepped down as Non-Executive Director of the Company.

“I am delighted to welcome Polly and Andrea as directors. Their appointment today will give the Board a strong focus on product development,” said C.K. Lau, CEO.

“Michael Mousley returned to Quarto in May 2018 to assist with the Company’s refinancing and restructuring plans which culminated in the recent open offer. I want to thank Michael for his many contributions to Quarto,” he added.

About Polly Powell

Polly Powell has worked in non-fiction publishing for more than thirty years. She was a member of the management team that acquired the book publishing business from Chrysalis Music Limited in 2004. In 2012, Polly became the sole owner of what is now called Pavilion Books.

Polly will continue to serve on the board of Pavilion Books Holdings Limited. In addition, she is a Non-Executive Director of National Gallery Company Limited.

Polly said: “I am excited to be joining the Board of Quarto. I have enormous respect for CK, and I think that having an Italian publisher and large bookstore chain owner, Giunti, as a major shareholder will be an exciting development for Quarto.”

About Andrea Giunti Lombardo

Andrea is a member of the board of Giunti Editore S.p.A., the second largest publishing house in Italy and owner of the Giunti al Punto bookstore chain. He has been involved in different aspects of the publishing industry and has extensive experience in finance, M&A and digital development. Andrea was also involved in the establishment of the Giunti Academy, a business management school in Italy.
