– UK, Farnborough – QinetiQ Group plc (LON: QQ) today announced the appointment of Shonaid Jemmett-Page to its Board as an Independent Non-executive Director effective from today. Shonaid Jemmett-Page will replace Paul Murray who, after ten years, will step down from the Board at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 14 July 2020.

She brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned executive and non-executive from a breadth of sectors including leading industrial and technology-based businesses with significant international operations. This, combined with her extensive financial experience, make her the ideal candidate to take over the Chair of our Audit Committee, in addition to supporting our progress in becoming an integrated global defence and security company”, said Board Chairman Neil Johnson.
He added: “For ten years, Paul has added significant value to the Board of QinetiQ including his very successful chairmanship of our Audit Committee. On behalf of all Board members, I would like to thank him for his significant contribution to our ongoing success during this period”.
Shonaid will also become Chair of the Audit Committee Chair upon Paul’s retirement from the Board.
About Shonaid Jemmett-Page
Shonaid was the former COO of CDC Group plc, the UK Government’s development finance institution. She joined CDC from Unilever, where for eight years she was Senior Vice-President Finance and Information, Home and Personal Care, originally in Asia and later for the group as a whole. Her early career was spent at KPMG, latterly as a partner.
Her board-level experience includes non-executive chair of Origo Partners plc and MSAmlin plc, and non-executive director roles at GKN Plc, Close Brothers Group plc and APR Energy plc.
Her current external appointments are as non-executive chairman of Greencoat UK Wind plc, non-executive director of Caledonia Investments plc, and senior independent director of Clearbank Limited.
