– UK, London – Primary Health Properties PLC (LON: PHP), one of the UK’s leading investors in modern primary healthcare facilities, today announced the appointment of Ivonne Cantu to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 1st January 2022.
“On behalf of the Board, I am delighted that Ivonne is joining the Group as a Non-executive director. She brings a wealth of experience in corporate finance together with sustainability, stakeholder and governance matters, from which the Company will benefit as it continues to develop its ESG initiatives,” said Board Chairman, Steven Owen.
The Company also announced that Peter Cole will not stand for re-election at the AGM scheduled for April 2022 and will accordingly retire from the Board at that time.
About Ivonne Cantu
Ivonne Cantu has significant public company experience having spent over 20 years advising listed businesses. She is currently the Director of Investor Relations, Communications and Sustainability as well as a Member of the Executive Management Team and the Sustainability Committee of Benchmark Holdings Limited, a biotechnology aquaculture company. She is also a Non-executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Creo Medical Group plc.
Prior to taking up her position at Benchmark Holdings Limited, Ivonne spent 13 years as a senior corporate finance adviser at Cenkos Securities plc, and prior to that 7 years as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch. She has a degree in engineering from the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
