– USA, MA –  Peoplefluent®, a leading social human capital management (HCM) technology company announced today from its WISDOM user conference in Orlando the appointment of Jeff Carr as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Carr, who has held strategic executive positions among the highest ranks at Saba, Taleo, and Peoplesoft (acquired by Oracle Corporation in 2005), brings extensive and deeply relevant expertise in the HCM industry and more than 25 years of experience in the global enterprise software marketplace.

“Jeff’s intellect, intuition and industry knowledge come together brilliantly in his proven capacity to define market leading solutions that deliver meaningful customer outcomes. His undeniable expertise and track record are propelled by a long-time presence in the HCM market that has fostered an extensive network of valuable and influential relationships. I could not have found a more capable and inspiring successor and am delighted about the prospects for this company and the customers it serves under his leadership,” said Charles S. Jones, Chairman of Peoplefluent.

Mr. Jones continued, “Jeff has deep experience in sales, marketing and all aspects of customer advocacy and influence in the SaaS environment (including renewals, channelsand customer relationships), which will be instrumental as we launch a powerful new suite of market-changing HCM solutions at our WISDOM User Conference this week and deliver them to customers in the coming months.”

Mr. Carr has led software companies through rapid growth cycles and has successfully and repetitively built high-performance cultures. He was a member of the senior teams that helped take both PeopleSoft and Taleo public and has experience in due diligence, as well as buying and integrating acquired software companies. These are highly relevant skill sets on the Peoplefluent horizon.

Commenting on the appointment, Josh Bersin, Principal and Founder, Bersin by Deloitte, Deloitte Consulting LLP said, “Jeff has been a compelling force and leader in the HCM marketplace for years. He joins Peoplefluent in a dynamic and differentiating innovation phase. This union is likely to deliver exciting new developments to our market.”

Prior to joining Peoplefluent, Mr. Carr was President of Global Field Operations at Saba where he had responsibility for the company’s worldwide field operations, including sales, professional services, alliances, and customer success. During his time at Saba, the company expanded its global business footprint dramatically, via both direct sales growth and new indirect channel partnerships. Mr. Carr also oversaw a major shift from selling primarily licenses to selling SaaS subscriptions.

Before his position at Saba, Mr. Carr served as Executive Vice President at Taleo, where he had responsibility for sales, global alliances, and customer success programs. During his tenure, Mr. Carr helped deliver record SaaS revenues and margins and served as a key driver behind the company’s go-to-market strategy and corporate direction. Taleo went
public in September 2005, less than a year after Mr. Carr joined the company as its first US-based executive team member.

Mr. Carr’s extensive HCM experience also includes nine years with PeopleSoft, Inc., where he was one of the first fifty employees when he joined the business in 1991. At Peoplesoft, he ran a number of sales teams and business units and later served as a Division President and then as Executive Vice President, worldwide marketing, strategy, and emerging markets. During Mr. Carr’s tenure, PeopleSoft went public and became one of the largest sellers of human resource management and financials software. By 1994, the company had a 50% market share for the entire human resources software market. Its revenues grew rapidly, from $17.1 million in 1991 to $1.7 billion in 2000, when Mr. Carr left the firm.

Mr. Carr also served as CEO of Motiva Inc., a leader in the enterprise incentive management industry, and as President of RightWorks Corporation, a leading provider of eProcurement and Strategic Sourcing business applications. Mr. Carr began his enterprise software career in sales at human resource management pioneer Integral Systems. He attended Miami University (Ohio) where he received his bachelor’s degree and then went on to study in the MBA program at Xavier University (Ohio).

“I am honored and absolutely delighted to be chosen to lead Peoplefluent, the leading independent cloud-based provider of complete talent management solutions designed to support the entire workforce. I have been watching Peoplefluent closely over the years and am deeply impressed with the product vision they have designed and executed. The next phase of growth for our business will be among its most exciting, and it is a phase that falls squarely within the sweet spot of my industry experience,” said Mr. Carr. “I look forward to working with our dedicated employees to bring innovative products to all of our customers around the world and to make Peoplefluent a great customer-centric brand. I can’t wait to get started.”
