– JERSEY – Nature Group, the AIM quoted provider of port reception facilities and waste treatment solutions for the oil, marine and process industries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jan Vesseur as an executive director of the Company with immediate effect.
Jan will take up the newly-created role of Chief Operating Officer, which reflects the board’s commitment to strengthening the senior management team.
Jan has significant experience in areas of strategy, operations and finance having worked with start-up companies, venture capital and multi-national corporations both in Europe and internationally across a range of sectors.
The board of Nature Group also announces that Charles Fairweather has retired as a non-executive director with effect from 15 June 2014. Charles was a founding investor in the Company prior to its AIM admission in 2001 and has served as a non-executive director since 2010.
Commenting on the board changes, Nigel Sandy, Chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jan to the board and the Company and look forward to his positive contribution to the business. His appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthen the team across all disciplines and business areas and he will work closely with both Andreas Drenthen (CEO) and Kieron Becerra (CFO), as well as the senior management of our Maritime and Oil & Gas divisions, in delivering on our strategy.
