– USA, CO – The National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) has announced MJ Freeway Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder Jessica Billingsley will be joining its board of directors for the 2013-2015 term following elections held in late May.
“I believe that regulation is the way forward to safely and responsibly bring legal cannabis to the nation,” she says, “and the best regulation will come from [the cannabis industry], not lawmakers.” Jessica cites MJ Freeway’s wide-reaching work with the industry in existing medical marijuana states for a “keen perspective into the reality of regulation” as it impacts medical marijuana dispensaries as well as the industry as a whole.
As a part of the NCIA board, Jessica will help the organization in its mission of advancing the interests of the legal cannabis industry through sensible regulation and the expansion of a legitimate market.
