Morgan Advanced Materials announces Alison Wood to join its Board as Senior Independent Director

– UK, Windsor – Morgan Advanced Materials plc (LON: MGAM), the global manufacturer of advanced carbon and ceramic materials for complex and technologically demanding applications, announced the appointment of Alison Wood to its Board as Senior Independent Director effective on 1 November 2024.

Her insightful and strategic leadership and valuable commercial expertise will support the further progress and the success of the Group in the years ahead,” said Board Chair, Ian Marchant.

Alison will also join the Audit, Remuneration, and Nomination Committees.

Laurence Mulliez will step down as Senior Independent Director and from the Board at that date.

About Alison Wood

Alison Wood is a highly experienced non-executive director with a significant background in international industries. She brings deep governance expertise gained across numerous listed businesses, having served as Chair, Senior Independent Director, and Remuneration Committee Chair in several FTSE 350 businesses. In her executive career, she was central to the strategic development of BAE Systems plc as Group Strategic Development Director (2004 to 2008) and was also Global Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at National Grid plc (2008 to 2013). She currently serves as Chair of Galliford Try Holdings plc, Senior Independent Director and Remuneration Committee Chair of Oxford Instruments plc, and Remuneration Committee Chair of TT Electronics plc.
