McDonald’s nominates Mike Hsu for election to its Board as Independent Director and announces CEO Chris Kempczinski to additional role of Board Chairman

– USA, IL –  McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE: MCD) today announced the appointment of CEO Chris Kempczinski to the additional role of Chairman of the Board of Directors alongside Miles White as Lead Independent Director, both effective from 2024 AGM, and concurrently with the retirement of Rick Hernandez as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“I am honored to assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of McDonald’s following our Annual Shareholders’ Meeting. As Chairman and CEO, I am committed to advancing our Accelerating the Arches strategy and continuing to deliver strong performance,” said President and CEO, Chris Kempczinski.

The Company also announced the nomination of Mike Hsu for his election to its Board as an Independent Director.
