Mayville Engineering Company welcomes Bob McCormick to its Board as Independent Director

– USA, WI –  Mayville Engineering Company (NYSE: MEC), a leading US-based value-added manufacturing partner that provides a full suite of services from concept to production, today announced the election of Bob McCormick to its Board as an independent director, effective immediately, bringing the Board to eight directors, oh whom seven are independent.

“We are pleased that Bob has accepted the invitation to join our Board. He is an experienced executive with a proven track record of delivering growth and a keen understanding of manufacturing and continuous improvement. As a current public company CEO, his operating and financial expertise will add significant value to MEC in the coming years,” said Board Chair, Tim Christen.

Bob McCormick will also join the Audit Committee.

About Robert McCormick

Over his 40-year career, Mr. McCormick has led business growth through various senior executive roles. Since 2019, he has served as the President and CEO of Douglas Dynamics, Inc. (NYSE: PLOW) and is a member of the Board of Directors. His previous roles at the company include COO from 2017 to 2019, and CFO and Treasurer from 2004 to 2017.

Previously, Mr. McCormick served as President and CEO of Xymox Technology Inc. from 2001 to 2004. Before that, Mr. McCormick served in various capacities in the Newell Rubbermaid Corporation, including President from 2000 to 2001 and VP Group Controller from 1997 to 2000. While Mr. McCormick served as President at Newell Rubbermaid, he was responsible for Newell’s Mirro / Wearever Cookware. As VP Group Controller, he was responsible for worldwide strategic and financial responsibilities for 12 company divisions with sales of over two billion dollars.

Mr. McCormick graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1982 and received his CPA certificate in 1984. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization The Parenting Network.
