– UK, Sandy – Kier Group plc (LON: KIE) today announced the appointment of Mohammed Saddiq to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 1 January 2024.
“We are delighted that Mohammed has agreed to join the Board. His in-depth knowledge and experience in operational delivery, engineering and infrastructure services will be of great value to Kier and a welcome addition to the Board. I look forward to working with Mohammed.” said Board chairman, Matthew Lester.
Mohammed Saddiq will also join the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee, the Nomination Committee, the Remuneration Committee, and the Risk Management and Audit Committee.
About Mohammed Saddiq
Mohammed Saddiq was an Executive Director at Wessex Water and Vice-Chair at Bristol University until 2022. He has held senior management and engineering positions in the water, waste, and renewables sectors, including as founder of the recycling and renewable energy business GENeco.
In 2020 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of the West of England for enhancing the sustainable development of Bristol. He is also Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Somerset. Mohammed is an Associate Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences.
