JPMorgan Asia Growth & Income announces Diana Choyleva and Kathryn Matthews to join its Board as Non-Executive Directors

– UK, Chelmsford –  JPMorgan Asia Growth & Income plc (LON: JAGI) today announced the appointments of Diana Choyleva and Kathryn Matthews to its Board as Non-Executive Directors effective from 1st March 2023 and 1st June 2023 respectively.

About Diana Choyleva

Diana Choyleva is a leading expert on China’s economy and politics. She is Chief Economist at Enodo Economics, an independent macroeconomic and political forecasting company she set up in 2016.

For 16 years prior she worked at Lombard Street Research, most recently as their chief economist and head of research. She joined LSR after completing her master’s degree in economics in 2000, and over the years has covered a wide range of developing and developed economies. Diana became a Director of LSR in 2005 and headed the firm’s UK service from then until 2009. Between 2009 and 2013 she was based in Hong Kong overseeing LSR’s expansion in Asia. Between 2015-2018 she was a Trustee on the Board of Cardboard Citizens.

About Kathryn Matthews

Kathryn Matthews brings extensive experience in the financial sector, with a focus on investment and risk management.

Previously, Ms Matthews worked for Fidelity International where she was CIO, Asia Pacific (ex-Japan). Prior to that she held senior appointments with William M Mercer, AXA Investment Managers, Santander Global Advisers Inc. and Baring Asset Management. She has also previously been on the Board of Directors for a number of investment companies including Fidelity Asian Values and JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust. She was also on the Board of Trustees for The Nuffield Trust.

Ms Matthews is currently a non-executive director of the Vietnam Opportunities Fund plc, Barclays Bank UK plc., the Australian investment management company Pendal Group plc, and its UK-based subsidiary company J O Hambro Capital Management Holdings Ltd. She is also a non-executive director of British International Development, the UK’s development finance institution which aim to support companies that help developing and emerging countries grow.
