James Cropper announces Jon Yeung to join its Board as Independent Director

– UK, Kendal –  James Cropper plc (LON: CRPR), the Advanced Materials and Paper & Packaging group, announced the appointment of Jon Yeung to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective on September 2024.

“I am delighted to welcome Jon to James Cropper. Jon’s depth of finance, leadership and business growth experience will be hugely beneficial to the Board as we seek breakout growth in the coming years, and I look forward to working with him,” said Board Chair, Mark Cropper.

The company announced that Jim Sharp will step down from the Board upon the AGM.

Jon Yeung will also join the Audit Committee as Chair and the Remuneration and Nomination Committees as a member.

Jon Yeung is a chartered accountant and brings significant experience in creating shareholder value through long-term business transformation and growth. During 11 years at LGC Science Group – a global life sciences group serving a variety of end markets globally – he held various leadership roles, including Group Finance Director and COO/Managing Director of the £400m Standards division, during which the business saw significant growth. Before this, Jon spent 16 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working extensively with listed businesses across audit and transaction projects including financing and M&A. Jon is currently a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair at private equity-owned Fera Science. He also serves as an advisory Board member for Charterpath, a not-for-profit organization that seeks to connect individuals with finance skills with charities.
