Ingersoll Rand welcomes Mark Stevenson and Michael Stubblefield to its Board of Directors

– USA, NC –  Ingersoll Rand Inc. (NYSE: IR), a global provider of mission-critical flow creation and industrial solutions, today announced the appointments of Mark Stevenson and Michael Stubblefield to its Board of Directors, effective on July 28, 2022.

About Mark Stevenson

Mr. Stevenson is the former EVP and COO of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a Fortune 100 company and world leader in serving science through its life science solutions, analytical instruments, specialty diagnostics, and laboratory products and biopharma services. He held this role from 2017 until his retirement in 2022. He joined the company in 2014 as EVP and President of Life Sciences Solutions through the acquisition of Life Technologies. Mr. Stevenson previously served as President and COO of Life Technologies, and President and COO of Applied Biosystems before its merger with Invitrogen Corporation in 2008.

He has an MBA from Henley Management College, United Kingdom, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Reading, United Kingdom.

About Michael Stubblefield

Michael Stubblefield currently serves as the President and CEO and Board member of Avantor, a Fortune 500 company and leading global provider of mission-critical products and services to customers in the biopharma, healthcare, education, government, and advanced technologies, and applied materials industries. Before becoming CEO of Avantor in 2014, Mr. Stubblefield served as a senior expert in the Chemicals Practice for McKinsey & Company. Before joining McKinsey, he held various leadership roles at Celanese Corporation, including VP and GM, Advanced Engineered Materials, and CMO.

Mr. Stubblefield earned an MBA from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Utah.
