– UK, London – Hochschild Mining PLC (LON: HOC) announced the appointment of Andrew Wray to its Board as an independent Non-Executive director with effect from the AGM on 12 June 2025.

Andrew Wray will also join the Audit and Remuneration Committees.
About Andrew Wray
Andrew Wray has significant experience in the resource sector in senior corporate roles, both as an investor and as an advisor. He was President and CEO of NYSE and TSX-listed Golden Star Resources from 2019 until its acquisition in 2022. Before this, he was COE of La Mancha, a significant direct investor in the mining sector which saw him undertake Board roles with Golden Star Resources as well as Evolution Mining.
From 2010 to 2017 Andrew Wray held various roles with Acacia Mining Plc, a UK-listed FTSE250 company and one of the largest African gold producers, including CFO from 2013 to 2017.
Before joining Acacia, Andrew Wray worked in investment banking with JPMorgan Cazenove between 2000 and 2010 where he advised a range of clients, including Hochschild, on various equity capital transactions.
Andrew is the Non-Executive Chairman of Resolute Mining Limited, an African-focused gold mining company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
