London – Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited (LON: UK-listedSONG), the first UK-listed investment company offering investors pure-play exposure to songs and associated musical intellectual property rights, today announced the appointment of Cindy Rampersaud to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 1 August 2023.
Ms. Rampersaud will also join the following committees:
- Audit and Risk Management Committee;
- Environmental, Social, and Governance Committee;
- Management Engagement Committee;
- Nomination Committee;
- Portfolio Committee;
- Remuneration Committee.
About Cindy Rampersaud
Cindy Rampersaud is a Chartered Accountant with considerable experience across a range of organizations within the education, entertainment, media, and charitable sectors. She previously held senior executive roles at Virgin, Warner Brothers, EMI, the Department for Education, and most recently, Pearson, where she headed up the global BTEC and apprenticeships business.
Ms. Rampersaud is currently a non-executive director of Sage Housing and an advisory board member and chair of audit & risk at the UK Health Security Agency. She is also a trustee of both The London Film School and the Consumers’ Association (the publishers of Which?).
