– MALAYSIA, Penang – Hidong Estate PLC (LON: HID) today announced the appointment of Shaik Othman Bin Hussain to its Board as a Non-Executive Director, effective from 27th July 2022.
About Shaik Othman Bin Hussain
Shaik Othman graduated with a Diploma from the Institute of Bankers, London, and has over 49 years of banking and venture capital experience. He started his career with Malayan Banking Berhad, Penang, Malaysia in 1973 and worked in various departments such as accounts, credit and loans, and securities. He joined Bolton Finance Bhd, Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia in 1985 and served as the branch manager until December 1996.
In January 1997, he was appointed as the Investment Manager in a venture fund firm managing a venture fund and was responsible for the deal evaluation and overseeing all the investment portfolios. From December 2013 to May 2019, he managed private equity funds investing in an initial public offering of companies to be listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the stock exchange of Malaysia.
He held the position of liaison head in a licensed auction house specializing in asset disposal management of machinery and equipment and was recently appointed as a director in the said company.
