HICL Infrastructure announces Liz Barber and Martin Pugh to its Board as upcoming Non-Executive Directors

– UK, London –  HICL Infrastructure PLC (LON: HICL) today announced the appointment of Liz Barber and Martin Pugh to its Board as non-executive directors, with effect from 1 September 2022.

“I am delighted to welcome both Liz and Martin to the HICL Board. They bring an additional wealth of relevant and specialist infrastructure industry experience to the boardroom.” said Board Chairman, Ian Russell.

About Liz Barber

Liz Barber was previously at Kelda Group where she served as CEO from 2019, having previously served as CFO from 2010. Before that Liz held several senior partner roles with Ernst & Young.

She is a chartered accountant and graduated with a BSc in Geography from the University of Leeds, where she now serves as Deputy Chair and is the chair of the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission.

Liz is a non-executive director of Cranswick plc and was formerly a non-executive director of KCOM Plc, a UK fiber broadband provider.

About Martin Pugh

Martin Pugh has over 35 years in the infrastructure industry, spanning roles in construction, development, investment, asset management, and strategic projects. Most recently he has provided executive management support to several major infrastructure projects and before this he held senior executive positions within Bilfinger Project Investments, overseeing the investment performance of assets in multiple sectors and across the UK and Europe.

Martin graduated in Civil & Structural Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer. Martin has no other listed directorships.
