– USA, TN – HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE: HCA), one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers, announced the appointment of John W. Chidsey, III, to its Board as an independent director, effective July 15, 2025, increasing the Board to ten members.
John Chidsey will also join the audit and compliance committee, compensation committee, and patient safety and quality of care committee.
About John W. Chidsey, III
John Chidsey most recently served as the global CEO of Subway. He previously served as CEO of Burger King Holdings, Inc., and held significant leadership roles at Cendant Corporation. Earlier in his career, he also held various senior financial leadership roles at PepsiCo.
John Chidsey also serves on the board of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. and previously served on the boards of Encompass Health Corporation, Burger King Holdings, Inc. (as chairman), and Brinker International, Inc.
John Chidsey holds a B.A. degree from Davidson College, as well as an MBA and a J.D. degree from Emory University.
