David Grissen joined Marriott International, Inc. in 1986 and most recently served as Group President until his retirement in April 2021. For the past 11 years, Grissen led America’s business, overseeing all of the territory’s lodging business, comprising more than 5,500 properties and a vast workforce of 160,000 people. Also, he was responsible for the Global Operations organization, Ritz Carlton and Edition.
Before his latest position, he served as Group President, The Americas; President, Americas; EVP, the Eastern Region; SVP, the Mid-Atlantic Region and SVP, Finance and Business Development.
