GlobalData appointed Murray Legg to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – GlobalData plc (AIM:DATA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Murray Legg to the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 24 February 2016. Murray will be appointed as Chairman of the Audi Committee, succeeding Bernard Cragg, Chairman of GlobalData plc.

Murray Legg, aged 58, is a chartered accountant with over 35 years of audit and advisory experience gained with PwC in the UK where until retirement in 2013 he held a variety of senior management, governance and client roles. As a partner he spent 15 years supporting and advising a number of major UK companies whose operations covered a broad range of industry sectors. Murray is currently a Non-executive Director of Sutton and East Surrey Water plc and Tower Bridge Ventures.

Commenting on the appointment, Bernard Cragg, said: “With his extensive industry and advisory experience, I am delighted that Murray is joining the board of GlobalData plc and I look forward to working with him as we proceed to deliver our strategic priorities.”
