Glenmede Trust Company welcomes Frances Ferguson and Dr. Sean Wang to its Board of Directors

– USA, PA –  Glenmede, a leading investment and wealth management firm overseeing more than $40 billion in assets under management, today announced the election of Frances Ferguson and Dr. Sean Wang to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2023, bringing the Board to fifteen members.

About Frances Y. Ferguson

With her appointment to the Board, Ms. Ferguson brings decades of expertise in corporate and institutional banking and management consulting experience, as well as extensive knowledge of leading transformational change and enabling digital strategies. Most recently, she served as CEO of Ferguson Advisors, LLC, a firm specializing in corporate strategy, operations innovation, and data analytics solutions. Previously, Ms. Ferguson was Group Executive MD and CAO-Operations at BNY Mellon and held roles earlier in her career at Goldman Sachs, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Ms. Ferguson serves on the Board of consulting and data analytics firm SullivanCotter. She earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan, a Master in Civil Planning and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Additionally, she holds certifications in AI and Blockchain business applications from MIT. Ms. Ferguson is an active member of the Executive Leadership Council, an executive membership organization focused on supporting Black communities, entrepreneurs, and businesses. She currently resides in the greater New York metro region.

About Dr. Sean X. Wang

Dr. Sean Wang is an avid inventor and entrepreneur who has founded and co-founded more than a dozen high-tech companies over the last twenty years and holds more than sixty patents. In 1997, he founded B&W Tek, Inc., a leading photonics company, where he remained as CEO until recently. Dr. Wang is also active in the early-stage, high-tech venture, incubation, and investment initiatives in the region. He currently serves on the Advisory Council for both NJ Tech Council Ventures and the University of Delaware’s College of Engineering. He is also on the Board of Trustees for the University of Delaware.

Dr. Wang earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He also holds a B.S. and M.S. in Applied Physics. Dr. Wang will bring to Glenmede’s Board his startup experience and innovative ideas, which will be valuable for adapting to and anticipating an unending series of new norms and opportunities. He currently resides in Delaware.
