GETECH Group welcomes Emma Parker-Wilson to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, Leeds –  GETECH Group plc (LON: GTC), a provider of geoscience data, knowledge, and software to the energy industry, today announced the appointment of Emma Parker-Wilson to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

The company also announced that Chris Flavell, a current Non-Executive Director, shall retire from the board today.

Emma Parker-Wilson has more than 17 years of experience as an Environmental, Social, and Governance, and mining operations specialist. Emma is currently Principal in charge of Sustainable Business Opportunities at Anglo American PLC, a multi-national, multi-commodity mining company. At Anglo American, Emma is responsible for identifying and delivering commercial value, leveraging Anglo American’s sustainability practices across areas of business development, marketing, and finance. In particular, her role focuses on leading innovative approaches to sustainability-led value creation.

Emma’s appointment to the Getech Board brings vast mining industry experience and expertise as the Company applies its core earth science and geospatial expertise to the energy transition and diversifies into adjacent energy sectors, including the mining of strategic minerals.

Having founded the Musangu Foundation, which supports mining companies’ approach to social investment, and Impact Capital Africa, which supports impact investing in Zambia, Emma also brings strong entrepreneurial experience to Getech.

The appointment of Emma continues the board transition process aimed at aligning the Non-Executive expertise with the Company’s strategy to apply its core earth science and geospatial expertise to a wider array of industries engaged in the energy transition and assisting them to discover and de-risk the development of assets that include mining of rare earth and battery metals, geothermal, CCUS and green hydrogen hubs.
