Fulcrum Therapeutics announces Bryan Stuart to its Board of Directors as CEO alongside Mark Levin as Executive Chair

– USA, MA –  Fulcrum Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: FULC), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on improving the lives of patients with genetically defined rare diseases, today announced that current COO, Bryan Stuart will join the Board of Directors as president and CEO, succeeding Dr. Robert Gould who will be retiring as of March 31, 2021, but will remain on the Board of Directors as an advisor.

Additionally, Board Chair, Mark Levin will assume the role of executive chair effective upon Dr. Gould’s retirement.

Bryan Stuart joined Fulcrum as COO in 2018. Before Fulcrum, he served as president and chief executive officer of Yarra Therapeutics and president and chief executive officer of Kastle Therapeutics, both companies focused on developing therapies for rare diseases. Before Kastle, Bryan was chief business officer of Civitas Therapeutics and previously led business development, corporate development, and strategy at both EKR Therapeutics and Ovation Pharmaceuticals.

Bryan earned his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois.
