Nicholas Gregory is a trained software engineer and experienced technology thought leader with a breadth of experience in the fintech sector.

From 2016 to 2024, he served as the CEO of CommerceBlock, where he built the Mercury Layer, the first Bitcoin statechain implementation, until he engineered an exit for the business.

His technical expertise includes programming across multiple languages, building compute grids, machine learning, and Bitcoin development. He has held management roles at Wall Street banks, founded an asset management fund, and served on the boards of CommerceBlock Ltd, Jacobi Asset Management (Holdings) Ltd, and Nukkleus Inc.

Nicholas Gregory sits on the board of Gregory Nico Ltd, and in the last five years has held the position of Director for CommerceBlock Ltd, Nukkleus Inc, and Jacobi Asset Management (Holdings) Ltd.
