Flowers Foods announces CEO Ryals McMullian to additional role of Chairman of the Board of Directors

– USA, GA –  Flowers Foods, Inc. (NYSE: FLO) today announced the election of the current president and CEO Ryals McMullian as the chairman of the board of directors, effective at the 2023 AGM, to succeed George Deese who will retire from the chairman role but will remain as a director.

Additionally, Ben Griswold will retire from the board of directors.

Ryals McMullian has served as a member of Flowers Foods’ board since August 2019 and was elected president and CEO of Flowers in May 2019. Before that election, he served in several senior leadership roles for the company, including COO, CSO, deputy general counsel, and VP of mergers and acquisitions. He joined Flowers Foods in 2003.
