F&C Investment Trust announces Tom Joy to its Board as upcoming Independent Director

– UK, London –  F&C Investment Trust PLC (LON: FCIT) today announced the appointment of Tom Joy to its Board as an independent non-executive Director, effective on 1 January 2021.

“Tom Joy’s appointment reflects our continuing focus on maintaining the highest level of investment skills and knowledge on the Board. We are delighted that he will be joining us.” said Board Chair, Beatrice Hollond.

About Tom Joy

Tom is Chief Investment Officer of the Church Commissioners for England, which is responsible for managing the endowment portfolio of the Church of England. He is also a non-executive director of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity and chairs its Investment Committee.

Tom began his career as a graduate trainee at Royal Sun Alliance Investment Management. He then joined Schroders and held a variety of different roles culminating in becoming Head of Investment – Multi-Manager. He then joined RMB Asset Management where he was Chief Investment Officer until October 2009.
