These appointments expand Evolve’s board to eight members all that hold deep knowledge in manufacturing, technology, finance, and innovation.

About Hugh Evans

Mr. Evans brings significant industry-specific and financial experience to Evolve. He is an active investor and entrepreneur in the Additive Manufacturing sector. He has invested in numerous 3D startups and serves on the Board of Directors as an advisor to many projects. From 2013 to 2019, he served as SVP Corporate Development and Digitization at 3D Systems.

“I am excited to join Evolve at this important moment as the company commercializes its SVP™ system,” said Hugh Evans, “In my opinion, Evolve is the first print engine that has the ability to compete directly with injection molding on part quality, part cost and throughput. In addition, the SVP system offers unparallel design, and material flexibility. Evolve has a chance to make a dent in manufacturing.”

He received his BA from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

About Joe Allison

Mr. Allison brings extensive 3D printing industry experience to Evolve. He has dedicated over 30 years to developing the 3D printing industry by driving new technologies and new materials to meet the requirements of new applications. He entered the industry, working as an R&D engineer for 3D Systems from 1987-1991. He then worked for 23 years as founder and CEO of Solid Concepts, the largest service provider in the 3D printing sector.
