Evergy announces CEO David Campbell to additional role of Chairman of the Board of Directors

– USA, MO –  Evergy, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVRG) today announced the nomination of President and CEO David Campbell to assume the additional role of Chairman of the Board of Directors at the AGM on May 7, 2024, to succeed Mark Ruelle who will retire from the Board.

“Mark has provided outstanding leadership as chairman of our board for the past six years since the merger that created Evergy,” said David Campbell. “His vision and experience had a significant positive impact on the company’s success, and he has served as a highly valued partner and mentor. Additionally, the current lead independent director, Thomas Hyde will retire from the board in May and be replaced by Anthony Isaac who will step into the role of lead independent director.
