Essential Utilities appoints Christopher Bruner and Tamara Linde to its Board of Directors

– USA, PA –  Essential Utilities Inc. (NYSE: WTRG) announced the appointments of Christopher Bruner and Tamara Linde to its board of directors.

Mr. Bruner will chair the audit committee and serve on the executive compensation committee, while Ms. Linde will join the corporate governance committee and the risk mitigation and investment policy committee.

About Christopher Bruner

Christopher Bruner is an Assurance Partner at Ernst & Young, where he’s worked for 36 years. He spent time in the firm’s Texas and Virginia offices before relocating to Philadelphia in 2005. Before his current role, he served as the Philadelphia Office Managing Partner from 2008-2020 and has worked with many public companies across numerous industries during his time with the company. Bruner will retire from EY in December of this year.

In addition, Christopher Bruner serves on EY’s East Region Center for Board Matters. In this role, he works closely with both audit and non-audit clients as well as internal account teams to support boards, committees, and directors in their oversight function by connecting them to content, thought leadership, and education to address complex boardroom issues.

Christopher Bruner earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University in 1985. He serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, Chairman of the Audit Committee for Main Line Health, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Union League of Philadelphia.

She serves as Chair of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Legal Committee and previously served as a member of the General Counsel Steering Committee of The National Association of Corporate Directors, was past President of the Northeast chapter of the Energy Bar Association and was past chair of the Energy Bar Association Electricity Regulation and Compliance Committee.

Tamara Linde received her JD from Seton Hall University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University. She is a member of the bars of New Jersey, New York, the District of Columbia, and Texas.
