Equatorial Palm Oil appoints Teh Kwan Wey to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London –  Equatorial Palm Oil plc (LON: PAL), the Rule 15 company, today announced the appointment of Teh Kwan Wey to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective immediately.

“We are delighted that Kwan Wey has agreed to join the Board of EPO. Kwan Wey has been at KLK since 2009 and works as General Manager in KLK’s corporate finance department. His guidance, experience and input will be extremely valuable for the Company, especially as EPO is now a Rule 15 company.” said Executive Chairman, Michael Frayne.

Patrick Kee Chuan Peng and Ms Yap Miow Kien have left the board.

Michael Frayne added: I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Kee and Ms Yap for their valuable contribution to the Company since their respective appointments as directors in 2019 and 2014.”

About Teh Kwan Wey

Teh Kwan Wey is a Malaysian National and graduated with a Masters of Engineering, in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2006. After graduating, Kwan Wey remained in the UK and worked in investment banking before returning to Malaysia to join Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad in 2009. He is currently the General Manager of KLK and holds multiple corporate-related responsibilities within the Company. Kwan Wey is also a director of many of KLK’s subsidiaries. KLK is the majority shareholder in the Company.
