– UK, London – EnQuest PLC (LON: ENQ) today announced the appointment of Michael Borrell to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 5 September 2023.
“Michael has a wealth of experience focusing on operational excellence and building strategic relationships with external stakeholders. His industry knowledge will be of immense value as we develop and implement our strategy,” said Board Chairman, Gareth Penny.
Michael will also join the Sustainability Committee and Governance & Nomination Committee.
About Michael Borrell
Michael Borrell is an experienced operator of large-scale Exploration and production assets, having worked for over 35 years with TotalEnergies, including managing the integration of the Maersk Oil business. His international career with TotalEnergies has spanned Europe, Asia, and North and South America, culminating in his appointment as SVP North Sea and Russia, and as Denmark country chair in 2020.
Michael Borrell was a non-executive director of Novatek OAO, which was listed on the London Stock Exchange and Moscow Stock Exchange, between 2015 and 2021.
