– UK, Haslingden – Driver Group plc (AIM: DRV.L), the global professional services consultancy to construction and engineering industries, announces it has appointed Gordon Wilkinson as Chief Operating Officer of Initiate Consulting Ltd (Initiate) and a member of the Driver Group Executive Board chaired by the Chief Executive. The appointment takes effect on 1 December 2015.
Gordon’s role will be to deliver the Initiate elements of the 4 Year Growth Targets & Strategic Plan, which will include the core programme & project management services and also the expansion of existing fledgling services within the Driver Group such as asset management, strategic consulting and management consulting focusing at first in the UK.
Gordon has an excellent proven record in growing, developing and managing consultancy businesses in this space. His initial consultancy experience was gained with KPMG from 1989 to 2000 where Gordon progressed to become a full equity partner, responsible for a number of business units in their Consulting Division. Most recently he was a Director at AECOM where he was Head of the Global Consulting and Cost Management Businesses. Prior to AECOM he was a Director at Arup and a member of Arup’s UKMEA Board with responsibility for the UKMEA Consulting division.
David Law (prior to this appointment the COO of Initiate) will step down from the Executive Board with immediate effect but will remain in the business in a key role focusing on the development and growth of specific Initiate client accounts in the UK and supporting infrastructure programme & project management initiatives across Driver Group.
