DP World welcome H.E. Sultan AlMansoori and Patrice Trovoada to its Board as Independent Directors

– UAE, Dubai –  DP World Limited (LON: 91SN) today announced the appointments of H.E. Sultan AlMansoori and Patrice Trovoada to its Board as Independent Non-Executive Directors effective from 05 August 2020.

About H.E. Sultan Bin Saeed AlMansoori

His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed AlMansoori served as the Minister of Economy in the UAE from 2008 until 2020, and currently holds a number of positions including Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Consumer Protection and Chairman of the Co-ordinating and Economic Co-operation Committee.

Prior to the Ministry of Economy, HE AlMansoori was the Minister of Government Sector Development and Minister of Transport and Communications between 2004 and 2008.

His Excellency AlMansoori holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management Systems from Arizona State University, USA and a Diploma in Computer System Analysis from the Institute of Computer Technology, Los Angeles, California USA.

About Patrice Trovoada

Patrice Trovoada is an Economist and has served as Prime Minister of São Tomé and Príncipe with three stints between 2008 and 2014.

Prior to his Premiership, Patrice Trovoada served as Special Advisor for International Affairs in 1992, and as Adviser to the Board of Banco Comercial Portuguese between 1996 and 1997, as Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2001 and as Oil Special Adviser to former President Fradique de Menezes till May 2005.

Since January 2019, Patrice Trovoada has engaged with the African Union and Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie to monitor elections and prevent regional conflicts in Africa. He is also focused on developing of e-governance and infrastructure in Africa.
