Donaldson Capital Management appoints Kate Doerksen to its Board of Directors

– USA, IN –  Donaldson Capital Management, a wealth management and advisory firm with over $3B in assets under management, announced the appointment of Kate Doerksen to its Board of Directors.

About Kate Doerksen

Kate Doerksen is a successful entrepreneur with a passion for building technology businesses. She is a native of Evansville, Indiana, and currently lives in Danville, California. She has a track record as a founder of successful companies. During her undergraduate years, Kate Doerksen launched Hoopla, an online marketplace for college basketball recruiting that matched coaches and high school student-athletes. As a Division 1 women’s basketball standout, she won a host of awards and pursued a brief stint with the Connecticut Sun. After retiring from basketball, she served as an investment banking analyst at Citi and later, a private equity investor at Wind Point Partners, before returning to business school at Stanford where she earned her MBA.

During her time at Stanford, Kate Doerksen cofounded Ditto, a global leader in virtual try-on and AI recommendation technology in the vision industry. Their technology allowed eyewear to be more easily sold online, enabling a drastic reduction in the price of eyeglasses for Ditto’s 70M users. Most recently, in 2023, Doerksen co-founded Sage Haven, with the mission of creating a world where kids have a healthier relationship to technology and each other. In Q2 2025, Sage Haven is launching their first technology solution, a safer messaging app for kids with AI-powered safety tools for parents.
